Konya is the capital of Konya Province in Turkey, the seventh largest city in Turkey, and one of the most conservative metropolises in terms of religion in Turkey. This city has a long history of over five thousand years and was a significant military stronghold during the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires.

As a religious center of Turkey, Konya is renowned as a “natural historical art museum” due to its rich cultural traditions and ancient history. With its long history, Konya has preserved some landmarks and monuments, including mosques, museums, among which the most famous are the Alaeddin Mosque and the Mevlana Museum. Among the modern structures is the Seljuk Tower, standing at 163 meters, the tallest building in Konya.
