The town of Nine Mile is located in the parish of Saint Ann. On February 6, 1945, the founder of reggae music, Bob Marley, was born here and he once rested in the same spot in the town. Bob Marley’s grave is situated in this town and is managed by his family. The famous town of Nine Mile is home to many historical artifacts related to Bob Marley, including guitars, medals, and photographs.

Nine Mile town is where Bob Marley’s journey began and had a huge influence on his music. Another famous attraction in the town is the “rock pillow” where he used to find inspiration for his songs. Bob Marley’s body, along with his guitar, is buried in an elliptical marble mausoleum in a church, and although he is gone, he is not alone as his guitar will always be with him.
