•Embark on a journey with lions, explore the wild in a thrilling 4×4 off-road vehicle, and immerse yourself in intimate contact with nature.
Introduction
The park is located on the west coast of the island of Mauritius, offering excellent soil for getting close to nature; it is a vast wildlife park that fully showcases the African charm. Filled with a large variety of birds and rare animals such as giant tortoises, set against the backdrop of African vegetation and scenery, it is like a “miniature version of Kenya.”
Walking with Lions
An experience in Mauritius that you absolutely cannot miss is “Walking with Lions” at Casela Nature Park. With professional guides, you can walk alongside the king of the jungle, even play together in the streams and grasslands, reenacting a real-life “Tarzan.” You will also be awarded a certificate of bravery as a keepsake.
4×4 Off-Road Vehicle
You can also opt to rent a 4×4 off-road vehicle or a more maneuverable double-wheel Segway touring vehicle, freely navigating through dense tropical forests and encountering zebras, giant tortoises, and ostriches by chance. For a more exhilarating experience, try the zip-lining across the park’s valleys, where you will embark on a magical journey soaring through the sky like a bird over hundreds of meters.
Additionally, the park offers free parking, restaurants, convenience stores, a 4D cinema, souvenir shops, and other leisure facilities to meet the needs of visitors. The park is vast and offers a rich variety of activities, so to fully enjoy it, you will need at least half a day.
Special Tips
1. Advance reservation is required for the 4×4 vehicles at least one day in advance, and it is recommended to wear a dust mask while driving as the wheels may kick up dust and splash mud.
2. There are no bird park paid activities on Sundays, and reservations for paid activities need to be made 30 minutes before they start.
3. Due to abundant vegetation and animals, there may be mosquitoes, so remember to bring itching relief and mosquito repellent.
4. It is best to wear comfortable shoes for exploring the park and protect yourself with sunblock.
5. “Walking with Lions” is a popular activity, so it is advisable to book one month in advance.
6. There is a Chinese service desk at the entrance of the zoo.
